John J. Bench


John joined the firm as an Associate in 2014 and is based in the Cranberry office. His primary practice areas involve the representation of public and private real-estate developers in a variety of issues, including property acquisitions, governmental approvals, environmental concerns, financing, and leasing and sales of real estate. In addition to his real-estate practice, John practices both offensive and defensive litigation on behalf of his corporate and business clients, and advises clients on matters of wealth management and trust creation and administration.

Prior to joining Dillon, McCandless, King, Coulter & Graham, L.L.P., John spent three years as an associate at a small litigation practice in the North Hills. He then spent five years supporting asset management and trust departments for the Federal government, and the largest financial institution in Southern California.

John earned a B.S.B.A in Finance with a minor in History from the University of Pittsburgh, and his J.D. from the University of Akron, which he attended on a Board of Trustees full-tuition scholarship.

John is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Allegheny County Bar Association, and Butler County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania courts, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

In addition to practicing law, John acts as General Counsel for Patriot Hills, a veterans support group based in New York and Pennsylvania.
