Matt is a partner in the firm and is based in its Cranberry office. He represents both public and private clients in real estate, land use, corporate and municipal law matters. He represents clients on a variety of matters, including property acquisitions, financing, title, land use, bankruptcy, and construction issues related to commercial and residential development. He also counsels clients on corporate and business issues.

Matt earned his B.A., cum laude, in economics and political science from Allegheny College, where he was an Alden Scholar. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1994. During law school, Matt clerked for the Honorable Donald E. Ziegler of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Matt is a member of the Butler County Bar Association, Allegheny County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts, U.S. District Court for the Western District and Eastern District, U. S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

In addition to practicing law, Matt has spoken and written materials on real estate, development and land use issues for the benefit of the bar as well as other public and private organizations. He also served on the boards of various charitable and civic organizations, including the Cranberry Area Chamber of Commerce (Former President), and Endowment for Butler County (Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors).
